Cleaning times are used for two things:
Measure how much time has been spent to clean a set of rooms.
Show which rooms are currently being cleaned in real-time.
How does it work?
In order for any cleaning time to be measured the room has to be allocated to a housekeeper in the first place. The timer is started when the housekeeper clicks the "Start cleaning" button when selecting a room in the mobile app. Note that if a room is entered in the app in some other way (except an urgent space check) the timer will not be started.
The cleaning timer will be paused if the housekeeper exits the room before completing.
At any time an overview of the cleaning statuses can be checked on the Status view screen (on the web). Rooms that are currently being cleaned are marked as "Cleaning in progress" and any rooms where the cleaning has been paused are marked separately as well.
Once the work is done and the housekeeper changes the room's cleanliness in the app to cleaned (green colour) the timer is stopped and the cleaning time is submitted to the analytics.
